Celebrating National Night Out Across San Francisco

On Tuesday, August 4, neighborhoods across San Francisco came together for a shared purpose: to get to know their neighbors and the officers who serve them.

We’re grateful beyond words. This year, we were proud to provide behind-the-scenes promotional, operational, and financial support so that every district station could host a celebration worthy of its community. None of it happens without the people who showed up, so let’s start there.

Thank you to every donor who gave to this year’s campaign and chose the station closest to your heart. Thank you to the volunteers who spent their evening setting up tables, running games, and making sure no one went home hungry.

And thank you to the community organizations and neighborhood groups who opened their doors and their networks to make this a citywide celebration instead of ten separate ones.

And thank you to our partners at the San Francisco Police Department, who spent the night not writing reports, but sharing tacos, playing cornhole, and letting kids sit in the driver’s seat of a patrol car.

We only exist because people like you believe San Francisco is worth investing in.

If your organization wants to partner with us on a future event or support one of our ongoing initiatives (from e-bikes to officer wellness to community programs like this one!), please reach out. We’d love to build the next one with you.

With gratitude,
Ixchel Acosta

Officer Alexis Dedet: “Events like this create a welcoming environment where community‑based organizations can share the opportunities and services they provide, helping neighbors connect with the resources that support their well‑being.

Just as importantly, National Night Out brings together different parts of our neighborhoods, encouraging conversations, building new relationships, and strengthening the bonds that help our district (and our entire city) thrive. By celebrating together, we reinforce our shared commitment to a safer, more connected San Francisco. A special thank you to our partners who helped make Ingleside Station’s National Night Out a great success: SFFD, SF Bridge Patrol, CCSF PD, SFSO, SF Libraries, US Army Recruiting, CHP, City Attorney’s Office,  SF Police Community Foundation, the SF District Attorney’s Office, our local district supervisors, CPAB, APACC, and all other community‑based and city organizations who showed up to support our neighborhood. Your presence and dedication truly made this event outstanding.”
