National Night Out

ONE CITY. ONE COMMUNITY. ONE NIGHT.
On Tuesday, August 4, all ten SFPD district stations will come together with their communities for National Night Out: one citywide celebration of the neighbors and officers who look out for each other every day.
From the Bayview to the Richmond, it’s the same night, same spirit: meet your neighbors and SFPD officers, and enjoy an evening of food, games, and fun. Ten neighborhoods, ten block parties, one San Francisco. Together, we all play a part in a safer city. And we’re raising funds so every station can put on a celebration its community will remember β and you choose which station your gift supports. Every dollar goes directly to the neighborhood you pick to cover food, supplies, activities, and giveaways. Help us light up all ten neighborhoods on August 4.

National Night Out is a nationwide community-building campaign that strengthens policeβcommunity partnerships and neighborly connection, making neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Since it began in 1984, it has grown into a beloved annual tradition: on the first Tuesday each August, millions of neighbors across thousands of communities in all fifty states, U.S. territories, and military bases come together for block parties, cookouts, and celebrations β meeting the officers who serve them under warm, festive circumstances. This August, San Francisco proudly joins that tradition across all ten of its police districts.

DJs Ch33no and Grimes will keep the music going all evening, and kids can burn off energy in an Astro Jump bounce house, then show off fresh ink (the washable kind!) courtesy of the neighborhood shop Raven Eye Tattoo. Come hungry, Annie's Hot Dogs, a woman-owned SF family business serving the city since 1983, will be serving up hot dogs, and Geary Boulevard favorite Joe's Ice Cream is bringing something sweet to finish the night.
