Friends and Neighbors,
In 2025, the San Francisco Police Community Foundation was proud to invest $1 million across our city’s 10 district stations, funding officer wellness programs, community events, and the tools officers need to connect with neighborhoods.

PLANNED FUNDING
Real‑Time Investigations Center (RTIC)
The Foundation is proud to support the recently revived Real‑Time Investigations Center (RTIC). In collaboration with the SFPD, we committed $7.25 million to retrofit and relocate the RTIC to a modern facility at 315 Montgomery Street, adding to SFPCF Founder Chris Larsen’s $2.15 million in lease funding and creating a cutting-edge hub for real-time crime response. This investment ensures officers have reliable, uninterrupted support, replacing outdated infrastructure in the Hall of Justice and reinforcing the city’s commitment to proactive public safety.
FEATURED STORIES
This month, we’re excited to share a few stories that reflect what’s possible when public safety, innovation, and community partnership come together. From historic crime reductions across San Francisco to cutting-edge tools supporting modern policing to the people who make this work possible, these highlights offer a closer look at the progress underway and the collaborative spirit driving it. We invite you to explore these recent stories from our community.

San Francisco celebrated historic public safety gains in 2025.
The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) recently announced that last year, homicides hit a 70-year low at just 28, overall crime dropped 25%, and traffic deaths plummeted 42%. These landmark improvements reflect the dedicated work of SFPD officers, partner agencies, and community organizations, who are working together to keep neighborhoods thriving.
San Francisco celebrated opening of upgraded Real-Time Investigation Center.
The SFPD’s new downtown hub features expansive video walls, upgraded computing systems, and modern investigative tools. Since launching in 2024, the facility has delivered remarkable results, assisting more than 800 arrests while decreasing auto theft by 41% and increasing auto theft arrests by 46%. We’re proud to have funded critical infrastructure upgrades, alongside partners including Chris Larsen of Ripple, who donated the space.

Meet the community leaders driving the San Francisco Police Community Foundation.
Behind every successful community initiative are dedicated individuals who believe in making a difference. We’re excited to bring together neighborhood leaders, law enforcement, nonprofit organizations, and business leaders united by a shared commitment to public safety through community-building partnerships.
PARTNER SPOTLIGHT
A warm and thankful shout-out to Avenue Greenlight, which contributed generously to the SFPD Toy Drive in December. The drive brought in hundreds of toys, creating opportunities for joy and inclusion for children and families, and created informal opportunities for officers to engage with residents in a spirit of mutual respect and shared experience, building trust and understanding.
We have much more to do in 2026: expanding the reach of community-police connections, supporting officer well-being, and scaling our infrastructure for sustainable partnerships.
And we can’t do it alone. Whether you donate, partner, or join a community event, we’d love to have you join this work. San Francisco’s neighborhoods thrive when we work together.
In gratitude,
Ixchel Acosta
